The treatment is performed using the Pico4 laser, a next-generation device that delivers ultra-short picosecond pulses. This allows for precise pigment targeting while minimising the impact on the surrounding skin and supporting a shorter recovery period. ✨ How does the treatment work? 1. Initial consultation Before the treatment, I assess the tattoo or pigmentation, your skin type and your individual needs. Based on this assessment, I determine the recommended number and frequency of treatments. 2. Preparation The treatment area is thoroughly cleansed. A topical numbing cream can be applied if required. During the procedure, protective eyewear is worn to protect your eyes from the laser light. 3. Laser treatment The Pico4 laser delivers ultra-short pulses that break down tattoo pigment or excess melanin in the skin. The fragmented pigment is then gradually cleared by the body's natural processes. Depending on the size and depth of the tattoo or treatment area, the procedure can take anywhere from several seconds to several minutes. 4. After the treatment The treated area may appear red, swollen or slightly irritated immediately afterwards. These effects usually settle within a few days. In some cases, small blisters or scabs may develop. These should be left to heal naturally and should not be picked or scratched. 📅 How many treatments are needed? Tattoo removal is a gradual process and usually requires several sessions. A typical course consists of approximately 4–8 treatments, with 6–8 weeks between sessions. The tattoo gradually fades as the body clears the fragmented pigment.
